  • For Herbalists, the course is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the Classical approach. The Jing Fang approach is manageable and systematic - it allows you to reduce the number of herbs and formulas needed to be effective in practice. Classical formulas typically contain a small number of herbs.

For Acupuncturists, the course is a wonderful opportunity to study Chinese Herbal Medicine from scratch. The theory and clinical skills can be immediately applied into one’s practice. The herbal formulas are tailored specifically to the individual’s condition and you will learn how to adapt your formulas to the patient’s progress.

If Jing Fang is your starting point to study Chinese herbal medicine, your study will be less overwhelming and more advantageous, this is because the core group of herbs and formulas are precisely defined and limited in content.

  • Yes, students who can’t attend the practical weekends, can still reap the benefits and transform their ability to prescribe Chinese Materia Medica by participating in the online module of our Jing Fang training program. Course Overview

Our Jing Fang training course focuses on the study of the Jing Fang Formula Families 經方類方, with the innovative teaching method, transmitted by Prof. Huang Huang (黃煌教授).

The teaching method is based on the association between the physical and psychological constitution of the patient and the classical formulas. This association leads us to a greater clinical efficacy and allows the Chinese Medicine practitioner to prepare formulas easily and safely. The learning process is structured so that the student acquires theoretical and, above all, practical clinical knowledge.

Professional training is delivered primarily online in a blend of learning with online recorded video classes and live interactive webinars.

Study Chinese Medicine herbalism

The program is structured in two years, with theoretical online classes and in person meetings to explore the practical components of this methodology.

Following successful completion of year one, students can work with herbs under supervision as part of their second year practical case studies.

Students who successfully complete the 2 year course will be able to competently prescribe and dispense a range of Classical Chinese herbal formulas from each of the formula families listed in the curriculum. They will also be able to confidently and effectively modify each herbal prescription to better suit the presenting syndrome of the patient by the addition, subtraction or modification of individual materia medica and to comprise their own prepared medicines for their patients.
