Clinical Observation

Join us for an immersive clinical observation weekend designed to deepen your practical understanding of Chinese herbal medicine. Under the guidance of Prof. Salustino Z. Wong, students will observe real patient consultations, gaining invaluable insights into diagnosis, treatment selection, and formula modification.

This hands-on experience will enhance your skills in identifying patient constitutions and understanding how to tailor herbal prescriptions.

During the weekend, students will observe 6 patients per day and learn :

📍Patient Consultation: Prof. Salustino Z. Wong's approach to patient interaction, history-taking, and establishing a clinical profile.

📍Diagnosis and Treatment Selection: How to assess conditions and select appropriate formulas based on patient presentation.

📍Formula Composition and Modifications: Prof. Salustino Z. Wong’s rationale for choosing specific herbs, combining formulas, and making necessary modifications to address individual patient needs.

📍Symptom and Syndrome Correlations: Observing how symptoms guide formula and herb choices.

📍Constitutional Analysis: Identifying patient constitutions and understanding their influence on treatment and formula adjustments.
